Zeke was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received a Bronze Star and moved up in rank to Sergeant. He loved camouflage, hunting, fishing, cooking, music and spending time with family and friends. Zeke is retired from McDermott where he spent many years overseas and was able to travel the world. He loved his big black stallion (his truck).

Zeke’s family would like to thank Dr. Genevieve Maronge his Oncologist, Dr. Russell Henry, Dr. Romero from Ochsner, Mary Bird Perkins and all the many people who helped him on his journey.

Zeke fought the good fight with dignity and grace. Never complaining or feeling sorry for himself. Always very appreciative of the help given to him by others. Zeke will be missed by everyone who knew him. Through his journey his motto “it is what it is, I’m living not dying” Zeke never met a stranger, he was a friend to everyone who crossed his path. And when you met him you would never forget him. He had a wicked sense of humor that was sure to put a smile on your face.

Gone from this earth, but always in our hearts. He was so loved by all of his family and friends.
