Kenton “Paul” “Hoop” Boudreaux Jr., 40, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Oct. 8.


He is survived by one son, Derrick Paul Boudreaux; one daughter, Jade Cunningham; mother, Margaret Portier Derrick; step-father, John L. Derrick Jr.; father, Kenton Paul Boudreaux Sr.; step-mother, Lydia Boudreaux; one sister, Sue-Lin Boudreaux Miller and husband Tim; two brothers, Christopher “Chris” Boudreaux and wife Kim, and Kely Boudreaux and wife Jill; six step-siblings, Craig Giroir, Lennie Orgeron, Craig Derrick, John J. Derrick, Merry Fleming and Sharon Derrick; grandparents, Ora Portier, Ulysse “Butch” Boudreaux, Lou Jean LeCompte Boudreaux and Ruth Daigle; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.


He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Alvin Portier Sr. and Cleavland Daigle Sr.; and grandparents, John and Josephine Derrick.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to help with funeral expenses.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at First Presbyterian Church in Bayou Blue, La., with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
