Larry A. Guidry, 66, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Monday, March 3, at 5:04 a.m.

He is survived by his sons, Brent Guidry and wife Velvet B. Guidry, Bryan Guidry and wife Kim G. Guidry, and Howie Guidry and wife Annette B. Guidry; his companion, Doris Sanchez; sisters, Dorothy Theriot and Faby Leger; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth G. Guidry; infant son, Larry Jr.; parents, Howell and Tavie Guidry; and sister, Doris Guidry.

He loved to fish, go to the dance with friends and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. He was a member of the Lafourche Lodge 427 and Shriners. He was the retired president of E & L Enterprises, Inc.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday, March 03, and 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4 at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
