Larry Joseph Cheramie, 65, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., passed away at home Friday, January 23.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Eymard Cheramie; sons, Anthony and wife Wendy, and Paul and wife Brenda; sisters, Pearly Cheramie, Sally DeRoche, Willie Mae Melancon and Mary Delgrandle; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Cheramie and Esperie Toups Cheramie; brothers, Antoine Cheramie and Stanley Cheramie; and sister, Lorrina Baldo.
Larry possessed a talent for carving duck decoys and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, and 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, at Falgout Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow at 11 a.m. Wednesday with burial at Cheramie Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
