Lawrence “Bruh” Nisby Sr., 79, a native of Gibson, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Sunday, July 9, 2011.
Mr. Nisby was a member of Eagle Wright Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Johnsilee Nisby; sons, Anthony Sr. and Lawrence Nisby Jr.; daughters, Nina Sanders and Antoinette Nisby; brothers, Wilbert Sr. and Hershel Nisby; sister, Lois Hall; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lillian Nisby; brothers, Herman, Raymond, James and Leroy Nisby; and sisters, Evelyn Diggs and Roslyn Hall.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, July 15 at Eagle Wright Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson. (Community)
