Leroy Grant Johnson, 81, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.
Mr. Johnson was a retired attorney who earned a PhD in law from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and a Louisiana law degree from Tulane University. He loved singing in the church choir, gardening, fishing and watching Saints and LSU football games. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lottie Johnson; stepsons, Gerard (Alison) and Barry (Dena) Arcement; stepdaughter, Joan (Troy) Bourgeois; brother, William Macauley Johnson; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Francis Johnson; and brother, Earnest Johnson.
Burial is at Garden of Memories Cemetery. (Chauvin)
