Lester “Phil” Foret, 73, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, May 28, 9:30 a.m.


He is survived by his sisters, Marie Hayes of Florida, Melba “Grannie” Chiasson, Diana Gros and JoAnna Gros.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Bessie Pitre Foret; brother, Leslie Joseph Foret; and sister, Betty Jean Foret.

He was a diehard LSU fan and a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews, La. He was loved and will be missed by everyone.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at St. Hilary Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at Resurrection Memorial Park in Mathews.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
