Lillian Blanchard Aucoin, 93, a native of Bayou L’Ourse and a resident of Amelia, died at Teche Regional Medical Center on Nov. 25, 2009 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her sons, Emile “E.J.” (Elsie) and Stanley (Connie) Aucoin Jr.; daughters, Betty Vicknair, Marion Bernard, Leona Crawford, Lillian (Harry “Putt”) Rebardie, Judy (Michael) Tabor, Carolyn Giandelone, Brenda (Jimmy) Butler and Pam (Ira) Patureau; 33 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Aucoin Sr.; parents, Emile and Leona Blanchard; brothers, Roy, Adam Sr., Russell Sr. and Hubert Blanchard; sister, Eula Mae Landry; one granddaughter; sons-in-law, Ernest “Buster” Vicknair, Tommy Crawford and Antoine Bernard.
She is buried at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery in Amelia.
