Lionel “Doc” Johnson Sr., 50, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at his home Tuesday, March 17.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Cheatham Johnson of Thibodaux; sons, Gregory Tillis of New York and Lionel Gregory Johnson Jr. of Denver, Co.; daughter, Danielle Johnson of Thibodaux; brothers, Leroy, Louis, Chris, and Kevin and wife Krishona Johnson, all of Thibodaux, and Thomas and wife Lashawn Lee of Lake Charles, La.; sisters, Kathy King and Roxanne Johnson of Thibodaux, Elouise Johnson of Westwego, La., Valerie and husband Lionel Walker of Napoleonville, La., Gertie and husband Armease Starks of Upper Malboro, Md., Josie Taylor and Velma Treece of Baton Rouge, La., Ernestine Johnson of Port Allen, La., Ivy Lee and Wanda and husband Clarence Batton of Plaquemine, La.; eight grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Johnson Sr.; stepfather, Joseph Lee; and sister, Agnes Johnson.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at St. Phillip Baptist Church in Labadieville, La. with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.
