Lionel “Lady” Arcement, 52, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, April 14.


He is survived by his devoted companion of 26 years, Octavia Jenkins of Thibodaux; step- daughters, Larrine Jenkins Bell and husband Eric of Gonzales, La. and Tammie Jenkins Boyd and husband Rev. Richmond of Thibodaux; brothers, Clarence Arcement Jr. and wife Michelle, Ronald Arcement and wife Tiffany, Glen Arcement, Sterling Arcement and wife Alisha and McGarrette Arcement all of Thibodaux and Fredrick Arcement of Oakland, Ca.; sisters, Patricia Arcement and husband Willie, Gloria Arcement, Lela Arcement and husband Warren, all of Thibodaux and Shawn Arcement, Leslie Arcement and Marida Arcement and husband Peter of Oakland, Ca.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Lela R. and Clarence Arcement Sr.; brother, Malcolm Arcement, and sister, Mary Louise Neville.

He was Baptist and enjoyed watching the news and football on TV.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at church cemetery # 2.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La. is in charge of the arrangements.
