Lloyd Anthony Positerry, 70, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 8:55 a.m. Friday, June 6, due to complications following heart surgery.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Glenda Bergeron Positerry; son, Lloyd A. “Andy” Positerry II and wife, Jessica Callais Positerry; daughter, Christina M. Positerry; grandchildren, Blair Positerry, Joseph “Joey” Positerry, and Alex Positerry; brothers, Joseph “Jake” Positerry and wife, Barbara, and Kerrel Positerry and wife, Janna; sisters, Diana Wheeler and Gaynell Allen and husband, Tom Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Anthony Positerry and Dessie Olivier Positerry; and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Weaver.
He was the sales manager for Exploration Supply Co. and was a past board member of Terrebonne General Medical Center, Ellendale Country Club and Krewe of Houmas Carnival Club. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. He was a devoted and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, June 9, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A military service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial following at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
