Lola Doucet Borne, 56, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Galliano, La., died Monday, May 11.

She is survived by her husband, Garry Borne Sr.; her mother Vernice Rogers Doucet; three sons, Garry Borne Jr. and wife, Marie, Charles Borne and wife, Jenny, and Mark Borne and companion, Kailynne Childers; one brother, Evans Doucet; one sister, Susie Doucet; and nine grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her father, Fornest Thomas Doucet; and two infant children.

She was a Catholic and enjoyed being with her family, and observing wildlife, including bird watching.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 and from 8 a.m. to funeral Thursday, May 14, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
