Lorraine Pitre Guidry, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, August 16, at 3:50 p.m.
She is survived by her son, Troy J. Guidry and wife Rose Anna Fonseca Guidry; daughter, Peggy Sue Guidry; brothers, Norman Pitre and Anatole Pitre; sister, Rita Savoie; grandchildren, Amy Brady and husband Anthony “Boomer” Brady, Christopher “KeKe” Guidry and wife Heather St. Pierre Guidry, Aaron “Bo” Guidry and wife Jenny Terrell Guidry, Emily Guidry and fiancé Ryan Fournier, Paul Guidry and wife Sylvia Hebert Guidry, Sarah Guidry, Luke Duet, Toby Duet, Jr. and Renee Guidry; and great-grandchildren, Angelle and Allison Brady, Cali and Emmie Guidry, and Linzy, Kodi and Logan Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Almate J. Guidry; parents, Nickles and Lydia Pierce Pitre; and brothers, Lawrence Pitre and Lingberth Pitre.
She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of South Louisiana.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, at Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church will mass to follow. She will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
