Louise Fanguy Buquet, 85, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Tuesday, July 21.

She is survived by her four daughters, Dorothy “Dot” Vito and husband Regas, Ruth Bergeron and husband Kenneth, Joyce Voisin and husband Jessie “Neggie”, and Patty Dupre and husband Linward; one son, Lenward Buquet and wife Rosy; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardie Buquet; one son, Archie Buquet; one daughter, Mary Duplantis; parents, Albert Fanguy and Eva Henry Fanguy; four brothers, Anthony, Adam, Joseph and Norris Fanguy; and three sisters, Eva LeCompte, Evelina Lapeyrouse and Ella LeBlanc.

She was a homemaker. She was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Holy Family Catholic Church. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
