Lula Ordogne Benoit, 88, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.

Mrs. Benoit was a loyal and dedicated member of the Catholic Daughters of America for more than 25 years. She was a participant at the House of Prayer. She had a kind heart and never met a stranger.


She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Jan) and Dale Benoit; daughter, Coleen (A.J.) Laiche; sisters, Mable Martinez and Beulah Roger; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curvis Benoit; parents, Alfred and Nora Ordogne; brothers, Lawrence, Lester and Clarence Ordogne; and sisters, Enola Malbrough and Viola Naquin.

Burial was at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery in Thibodaux. (Landry’s)
