Luna Zimmerman Bodin, 82, a native and resident of Franklin, La., died at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011.
Mrs. Bodin was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, sewing and fishing. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was also a Eucharistic Minister bringing Holy Communion to the sick and shut-ins.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (John) Bernard; sons, Timothy (Erna), Russel Jr. (Donna) and Edward (Christine) Bodin; sisters, Laura Trahan, Gail (Amar) Lancon and Rosalyn (Fernest) Arceneaux; brother, Hilary (Mary) Zimmerman; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Bodin Sr.; parents, Alex and Thelma Zimmerman; and brother, Herman Zimmerman.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Ibert’s Mortuary and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the Church of the Assumption with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
