Mabel Bourgouis Falgoust, 88, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died Sunday, April 5, at 4:33 a.m.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Terrance Joseph Falgoust; sons, Terry Paul Falgoust, Kenneth Joseph Falgoust and Eric Paul Falgoust; daughter, Cynthia Ann Falgoust; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Bourgouis and Genevieve Reulet Bourgouis; daughters-in-law, Betty R. Falgoust and Rebecca T. Falgoust; brothers, Neil and John Bourgouis; and sisters, Rete B. Hymel and Angel B. Weber.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Our Lady of Peace in Vacherie with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
