Mable Thomas Barrow, 88, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, January 8.

She is survived by her daughter, Bertha B. Utley; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Barrow; parents, Wallace Thomas Sr. and Bertha Simmons Thomas; brothers, Wallace Thomas Jr., Willard Thomas Sr. and Fields Thomas Sr.; and sister, Mary Thomas Smith.

She was Baptist, a member of St. Peter Baptist Church, and a homemaker.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 16, at Community Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, at St. Peter Baptist Church in Montegut, La. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at Bisland Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
