Madeleine C. Mitaine, 79, a native of Senblencay, France, and resident of Lockport, La., and Houma, La., died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006.


Visitation will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, La.


Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Franky Scricca, and wife, Michelle; one daughter, Sylviane Arcement Doubleday and husband, Daniel; one brother, Michel Mitaine; one sister, Colette Cardinal; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel Benhaim; her parents, Maxime and Francesca Millet Mitaine; one son, Gilbert Benhaim; one granddaughter, Michelle Arcement; one brother, Guy Mitaine; and two sisters, Francoise Millet and Suzanne Romaire.

Mrs. Mitaine was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.

She was a retired American Red Cross nurse.
