Madeline Adam Evans, 83, a native of Hyange, France, and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Feb. 28, at 5:45 p.m.


She is survived by her niece, Josetta Lapeyrouse and husband, Dreus, of Chauvin, La.; great-nephews, Stephen Lapeyrouse and wife, Arlene, and Armond Lapeyrouse and wife, Melisa; great-great-nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Nicole, Caleb, Michael and Marlene Lapeyrouse; great-great-great-nephew, Landon Lapeyrouse; and her friends on the bayou.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Adam and Margarite Schemil Adam; one brother; eight sisters; and one great-nephew, the Rev. Gus Lapeyrouse.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
