Malcolm Wilfred LaCoste Sr., 79, a resident of Theriot, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.
Mr. LaCoste was a devoted husband and loving father who brought love and laughter to all he knew. He brought the joy of the outdoors and water to his children and grandchildren’s lives. His legacy is one of family and friendship and he always loved to share a story and a smile. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his children, Wanda Breaux, Donna Bernard, Malcolm LaCoste Jr. and Connie Verdin; brothers, Ray Jr., Melvin, Mark and Ravin LaCoste; sisters, Hazel Hymel, Lois Lovell, Gertrude DeHart, Eula and Linda Lirette, Pearly Giroir and Sharon Verdin; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lacoste; parents, Ray Sr. and Elvina LaCoste; sons, Danny and Dwayne Sr. LaCoste; brothers, Ivy, Paul and Peter Sr. LaCoste; and sisters, Salina Duval, Mae and Myrtle Aucoin and Gloria Liner.
Interment is at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
