Mamie Reason Young, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, October 31, at 7:45 p.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Folse and husband Tyrone Sr. of Houma, Deborah Salone and husband Pastor Clayton of Houma, and Gwendolyn Bernard and husband Robert Sr. of Denver, Co.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Young Jr.; parents, Henry and Mamie Depasse Reason; daughter, Brenda Myles; and grandchildren, Tyraneka and Tyrez Folse.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 8, at Dularge Baptist Church.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
