Margaret Harrington Gaspard

Margaret Harrington Gaspard, 87, a resident of Morgan City, La., died Sunday, July 24, 2011.

Mrs. Gaspard was a deeply devoted Christian member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a very loving mother who enjoyed spending time at home and cooking for her family and was especially fond of cooking her Christmas Eve gumbo dinners.

She is survived by her children, John (Margie) Gaspard and Merinda (Michael) Leger; sister, Marie Pauline Simon; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Gaspard Sr.; sons, Dominic Jr. and Farrell Gaspard; parents, Claude Harrington and Alphonsine Touchet; four brothers; and three sisters.

Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
