Margaret Williams, 100, a native and resident of Lafourche Parish, La., died Saturday November 1.


She is survived by three daughters, Rosa Lee Tucker, Mildred Harris and Elmira Sylvester all of Raceland, La.; two stepdaughters, Margaret Williams and Sarah Pierre of Baton Rouge, La.; two sons, Daniel Williams and Phillip Williams of Raceland; two stepsons, Willie Williams of Baton Rouge and Harry Pierre of New Roads, La.; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Williams; parents, John Anderson Sr. and Susan Noble Anderson; one son, Harold Turner Sr.; three brothers, Philip Anderson, Richard Anderson and John Anderson Jr.; two sisters, Rosa Anderson and Edna Charles; one grandson, Sheldon R. Tucker; one granddaughter, Charlene Sylvester; and one great-grandson, Leon Sylvester

She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Raceland with the religious service to follow. Burial will be at the Young Ladies Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
