Marie “Claire” Doiron Bergeron, 80, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.
Ms. Bergeron was a member of Catholic Daughters, Ladies Altar Society, Legion of Mary and was a Eucharistic minister at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She was a member of the West Houma Lions Club and received the Lion of the Month Award and the Lady of Sight Award from the Lions Eye Foundation. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Jr. (Connie) Bergeron; daughters, Vickey (Albert) Blanchard, Jan (Elwin) Duplantis, Laura Pontiff and Mona (M.J.) Hebert; sisters, Carolyn Garrett and Beulah (Jim) Parr; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery. (Falgout)
