Marie Deloris LeCompte Tatum, 66, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 24.

She is survived by her husband, Luke “Pete” Tatum of Houma; three sons, Tommy Tatum and wife, Dawn, Pete Tatum Jr. and wife, Mary, and Heath Tatum and wife, Alena; one daughter, Lori T. Pennison and husband, Barry; two sisters, Elodie Rodrigue and Gloria Scott; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Dylan, Pete “P.J.”, Ryan, Lindsey, Kami, Coby, Victoria, Chelsey and Daisy; and one great-grandchild, Damien.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris LeCompte and Rose Pitre LeCompte; one daughter, Dori Lynn Tatum; and two brothers, Jasper LeCompte and David LeCompte.

She was retired owner of Pete and Dee’s Restaurant. She was always there for all her friends and will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
