Marie Louise “MaLou” Roy Langlois, 71, a native of New Roads, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, February 6, at 7:20 p.m.


She is survived by her daughter, Karen Doiron and husband Brian of Houma; sons, Jimmy Langlois and wife Chari Pellegrin Langlois, and Daryl Langlois and wife Tess Genest Langlois, all of Houma; sisters, Stella Mae Coleman of Lafayette, La., Doris Melancon of Gloucester, Va., and Katherine Dawes of Broussard, La.; brothers, Clement Eli “Bub” Roy Jr. of Mableton, Ga., and Larry Roy of St. Martinville, La.; and grandchildren, Heather and Cody Langlois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gerald Langlois; and parents, Clement Eli and Stella Major Roy.


She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She received her nursing degree from Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Ok. 73123-1718.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
