Marvin J. Gervais

Marvin J. Gervais, 75, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 8:47 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.

Mr. Gervais was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Folse Gervais; sons, Werly (Sue) and Jimmy (Lena) Gervais; daughters, Tammy (Patrick) Knight, Judith (Thomas) Bergeron and Lynette (Michael) Hartman; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Sr. and Clotilde Gervais; and brothers, Harry, Bryan and Kenneth Gervais.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

He will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland, La.
