Mary Ann Cheramie Dufrene, 65, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Sunday, August 24, at 11:14 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dale Dufrene; son, Troy Dufrene and wife Nicol; daughters, Cheryl Richmond and husband Louis, and Toby Dufrene and companion George Jones; sister, Betty Kiff; mother-in-law, Frances Bousegard; grandchildren, Lucas Richmond and wife Kristen, Robbie Richmond, Beth Felarise and husband Ramsey and Brooke Dufrene; and great-grandchild, Conner Felarise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Camille Cheramie Sr. and Alphonsine “La La” Cheramie; brother, Camille “T-Com” Cheramie Jr.; and an infant daughter.
She enjoyed painting, crafts, sewing, cooking, attending Granny Club and SAGA. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, La.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, and 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
