Mary Jean Dion, 63, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home of Houma and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Wilbert Dion and wife, Audra, Larry Dion and wife, Celina, and Paul Dion and wife, Judy, all of Houma; two daughters, Velma and companion, Joe Verdin, of Dulac, and Charlene Palma and husband, Victor, of Houma; two brothers, Adam Fitch and wife, Rose, and Wilbert Fitch of Houma; three sisters, Laura Verdin and husband, Larry, of Dulac, LA., Linda Pierre and husband, June, of Dulac, and Francis Verdin and husband, Ervin, of Dulac; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Antoine Loveless Dion Sr.; her parents, Cyril F. and Helen Verret Fitch; three daughters, Thelma, Lona and Paulene Dion; one son, Antoine Loveless Dion Jr.; one brother, Leance Fitch; one sister, Lona Fitch; and one granddaughter, Amber Dean.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
