Trees hold back erosive tides in Golden Meadow

Mary-Elaine “Tee” Theriot Authement, 70, a native of Theriot, La., and a resident of Bourg, La., died Sunday, March 22, at 10:34 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Sterling P. Authement Sr.; father, Eugene J. Theriot Sr. of Grand Caillou, La.; sons, Sterling Authement Jr. of Houma, La., Cecil Authement and wife Irma of Montegut, La., and Ricky Authement of Houma; daughters, Roxana A. LeBouef and husband Richard of Bourg, and Madge A. Hebert and husband Jamey of Bourg; brothers, Eugene Theriot Jr. and wife Kathleen, Phillip Theriot, and Victor Theriot and wife Sue; sisters, Sylvia Theriot, Linda Collins and husband Eugene, Patricia Grabert and husband Loney, Rebecca Gautreaux and husband Ivan, Janet Massey and husband David, Roberta Schulte and husband Jerome, and Precellia Luke and husband Keven; grandchildren, Kerry and wife Melissa, Mason and Casey Authement, Eric and wife Nicole, Rusty and Chris Authement, Mindy Naquin Pellegrin and husband Jody, Mark Naquin, and Alec and Andy Hebert; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Luke Authement, Trey Authement, Trenton Authement and Peyton Pellegrin.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Tivet Theriot; sister, Earline Theriot Jackson, brother, Francis P. Theriot; grandparents, Frank and Benita Lico Tivet, and Emilian and Francine Champagne Theriot; son-in-law, Randy J. Naquin; and niece, Jenna Theriot.
She was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Ann Church in Bourg.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at St. Ann Church with the funeral mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
