Mary Lee Fonseca Tullis, 80, a native of Lockport, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by one son, Phillip James Tullis and wife, Andrena Vedros Tullis, of New Orleans, LA.; two daughters, Cindy Tullis Ellis Duet of Houma and Julie Tullis Head and husband, Stanley D. Head, of Carencro, LA.; two brothers, Levry Fonseca of Vacherie, LA. and Kermit Fonseca of Houma; nine grandchildren, Chandler S. Tullis and wife, Amy, Cason Tullis, Kelley Keesee Allen and husband, Jim, Brennan Head, Justin Head and wife, Jessica, Daniel Head, Anne-Kathryn Head Johnston and husband, Shawn, Matt Ellis and Rusty Ellis; and two great-grandchildren, Janna Head and Chandler Tullis Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James “Jim” Tullis; her parents, Jean Paul Fonseca and Victoria Knobloch Fonseca; and five brothers, Cyrus, Douglas, Ernest, Jean Jr. and Berwick Fonseca.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial Masses to St. Gregory Catholic Church, 441 Sixth St., Houma, LA. 70360 or Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnson St., Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503 are preferred.
