Matt Dennis Charpentier, 45, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died Friday, July 3.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ollis Charpentier; mother, Dolores Bourg Charpentier; daughters, Ashley Rene Charpentier and companion Johnny Poindexter, Verna Elizabeth Charpentier and Lani Ann Charpentier; sister, Holly Charpentier Vogel and husband Bill; godson, Ross Vogel; grandchildren, Ikaika K. Charpentier and Kaulana K. Poindexter; nieces, Grace Vogel, Katrina D. Bonvillain, Tamara Duthu, Katherine Landry, Rebecca Landry, Jolene Thomas, Renee Parfait, Amanda Ollis, Nicole Ollis and Jessica Maynard; and nephews, Jamie Dupre, T-Earl Duthu, Harvey Landry, Nicholas Eschette, David A. Ollis, Stanly Hotard III, Paul Hotard and John Maynard Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis J. Charpentier; brother-in-law, David Ollis Sr.; and nephews, David Ollis Jr. and Joshua Landry.
He was Catholic.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, and 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial at St. Elie Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
