Mavis L. Floyd, 90, a native of Stewart, Miss., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Oct. 9.
She is survived by one son, Emmett Burnley; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Collum Richardson and James E. Richardson; one daughter, Glenda Kelly; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma with the funeral service to follow.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
