Michael Cardell “Mikie” Reiley, 45, a native of Metairie, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 9, at 10:52 a.m.


He is survived by his father, Armond Triche Sr. of Houma; daughter, Misty Lirette and husband Benji of Houma; brothers, Shawn Reiley and wife Ginger, and Armond Triche Jr. and wife Desiree, all of Houma; sister, Sally Duplantis and husband James of Houma; grandchild, Cloe Lirette of Houma; godchildren, Sierra Roups, Bradley Martin and David Triche, all of Houma; fiance, Geralyn “Lyn” Rodrigue of Houma; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Marie Perez Triche; son, Jason Samanie; and ex-wife, Janet Reiley.

He was a welding foreman for McDermott and a former member of the Village East Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the National Guard.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, March 12, and 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
