Michael Joseph Solito, 52, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016.

Mr. Solito was a long distance truck driver who loved life. He showed this in the lifetime of living he experienced in the abbreviated time he walked this earth. He worshipped every Saturday, barbecued every Sunday and worked every Monday. He shared his affection with all he knew, as well as many he didn’t. As he traveled the country, Michael would feed anyone in need from the cab of his rig.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, Beatrice Broussard; parents, Charles and Judy Solito; sister Cindy Solito; brother Charles Solito Jr.; children, Melissa Gray, Danielle Charbonnet and Nickolas Beebe; and four grandchildren.

Burial is at St. Francis Cemetery #2.
