Mildred Gisclair Cheramie, 81, a resident of Galliano, La., died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012.
Mrs. Cheramie was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a founding member of the Krewe of Nereids.
She is survived by her son, Rickey (Cheryl) Cheramie; daughters, Linda and Phyllis Cheramie; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Cheramie; parents, Dominick and Laura Gisclair; brothers, Lorris, Henry and Melvin Gisclair; and sisters, Lorena Charpentier and Henrietta and Rita Billiot.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
