Mildred Mary DeHart Dumond, 84, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died Monday, May 4, at 10:03 p.m.

She is survived by her daughters, Loran J. Dumond of Theriot and Clementine T. Cedotal of Theriot; son, Donell L. Dumond of Theriot; sister, Beaulah DeHart Guidry; step-brother, Sidney Lovell Jr.; grandchildren, Troy M. Dumond, Heather M. Rogers, Darrell P. Cedotal and Angel M. Cedotal; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Dumond, Cole Dumond, Clint Rogers Jr., Alexis Cedotal and Darrell Cedotal Jr.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Newel John Dumond; son, Darrell Dumond; parents, Edward DeHart and Alice Lovell DeHart; sisters, Melvina DeHart Liner and Elzina DeHart Dumond; and brothers, Willie DeHart, Hilton DeHart and Elmer DeHart.

She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a homemaker.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. Thursday with burial in the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
