Milton “Papa Duke” Anthony Dufrene, 88, a native of Gheens, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma Dufrene; son, Calvin (Betty) Dufrene; daughter, Ramona (Donald) Matherne; sister, Eula Plaisance; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Laticia Dufrene; daughter, Marina Dufrene; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Nacy and Norrie Dufrene; and sisters, Lorita Sampey, Ency Fonseca, Eunice Orgeron, Vernus Dufrene and Leota Bye.
Burial was at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Lockport, La. (Falgout)
