Mitchell “Mitch” Henry Guidry, 82, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, March 8, at 10 p.m.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet LeCompte and husband, Mitch, of Houma; brothers, Ulysses Guidry of Houma and Louis Guidry of Grand Caillou, La.; grandchildren, Derek LeCompte and Kayla LeCompte; and great-grandchildren, Cameron LeCompte and Jayce LeCompte.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Beaulah Mayeaux LeCompte; his parents, Freddie Guidry and Armantine Marcel Guidry; brothers, Acklen, Whitney, Hewitt, Wade and Chester Guidry; and sister, Sarah Guidry.
He was a retired self-employed electrician and a member of Thibodaux Amateur Radio Club. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Chauvin Funeral home with mass to follow at funeral home chapel. He will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
