Ms. Amalia Mistretta

Ms. Amalia Mistretta, 103, a native and resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009

She is survived by her son, G.J. (Joan) Mistretta Jr.; daughters, Marie Pizzolato, Elizabeth (Nolan Sr.) Poirrier, Cathy (Buster) Tipton and Chris (Dale) Calvaruso; 32 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a lifelong parishioner of Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville and a member of the Perpetual Adoration Society, a former member of Ascension Homemaker Association, a former Girl Scout leader and a member of the ACIS mother’s club.

She is buried at Ascension Catholic Church Cemetery in Donaldsonville.

Ourso Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
