Ms. May Foolkes LeBoeuf, 85, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7:15 a.m.


She is survived by her sister, Helena Word; sons, Roy (Renee’) Jr. and Mike (Judy) LeBoeuf; daughter, Martha (Cliff) Giroir; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Blanche Foolkes; sisters, Blanche Herron and Marie Hamilton; and brother, John Foolkes.

She enjoyed life with her family, fishing, hunting and baseball. She was one of the founders of T.A.R.C., a member of the Krewe of Hyacinthians and was a Eucharistic Minister of Terrebonne Parish.


The family would like to extend a special thank you to her devoted care givers, Marie Pierre, Joanne Sims, Brenda Daggs, Hattie Nixon, Sonya Jarreaux and many others that took such good care of her. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1.
