Murphy J. Giroir, 81, a native of Pierre Part, La., and a resident of Paincourtville, La., died Monday, January 19.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Cedotal Giroir; three daughters, Nelwyn G. King, Jan G. LeBlanc and Donna Giroir; two daughters, Victoria G. Sanchez and Hartense G. River; one sister, Dorothy G. Bailey; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Giroir and Elodie Mabile Giroir; three brothers, Lloyd Sr., Russell Sr. and Dawson Giroir; and two sisters, Rita G. Jacobs and Laura G. Montero.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, January 22, at Landry’s Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La. with mass at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
