Nelda Marie Rodrigue Toups, 78, a native of Larose, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., died Thursday, February 5, at 6:15 a.m.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Toups, Daniel Toups and wife Jada, and Clint Toups and wife Billie Jo; daughter, Tina Toups; sisters, Theresa Fournier and Barbara Fournier; grandchildren, Denise Toups LeBlanc, and Kyle John, Nocholas, Melissa, Benjamin and Jake Toups; and great-grandchildren, Sophie LeBlanc and Aubrie Toups.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Toups; parents, Robert Rodrigue Sr. and Marie Rodrigue; brother, Robert Rodrigue Jr.; and sisters, Earline Pierce and Eloise Collins.

She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport and a member of the American Legion Post 83 Auxiliary.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 8, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, February 9, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
