Nicholas Adam Ledet, 88, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.

Mr. Ledet was a parishioner of Marie Immacolata Catholic Church. He worked at Quality and Trapp Chevrolet for more than 45 years. An avid golfer, Mr. Ledet was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Better Business Bureau, National Automotive Dealers Association, Krewe of Houmas and Ellendale Country Club. He reigned as Mardi Gras’ king for four years at The Homestead.


He is survived by his sons, Dale (Cindy) of Luling and Mark (Mary) Ledet of Houma; daughters, Judy Chauvin of Luling, Connie (Bobby) Laster of Destrehan, Mary Fanguy and Donna Ledet, both of Houma; sisters, Eve Ledet of Bourg and Grace Crochet of Marrero; 10 grandchildren, Nick, Joseph and Christopher Chauvin, Lindy (Loyd) Bourgeois, Jamie (Ryan) Laird, Erica (Josh) Sanders, Zack (Valerie) Laster, Phillip (Brook Tyler) Ledet, Emily (John) Taylor and Adam (Laura) Ledet; and nine great-grandchildren, Caleb, Preston, Ella, Miranda, Luke, Sophie, Dominic, Reid and “Baby T.”

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Marie Babin Ledet; parents, Nicholas Joseph Ledet and Aggie Bergeron Ledet; sons-in-law, Danny Chauvin and Steve Fanguy; and sister, Ethel Carlos.
