Nicholas M. “Nick” Cheramie, 27, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Thursday, May 7, at 6:52 p.m.
He is survived by his parents, Wade Sr. and Angela Bagala, and Trent and Nichole Callais; son, Peyton Parr; daughter, Logan Cheramie; brothers, Wade “T-Wade” Bagala Jr., Michael Bagala and Ryan “Chief” Bagala; sisters, Ragin Dawson, Toney Callais and Tatum Billiot; grandparents, Diana and John Cheramie, Barbara Chouest, Waynon Bagala and Corina Callais; and godparents, Joy Bychurch, Charles Cheramie and Trish Callais.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Toney Callais.
He was Catholic and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting, football and the outdoors.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
