Noah Louis Roddy Jr., 87, a native of McAlester, Ok., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 23, at 7:40 a.m.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Roddy and wife Charlene of Lafayette, La.; daughters, Dale Schwirzky and husband Raymond of Friendswood, Tx., and Judy Rodriguez and husband Anthony “Coon” of Houma; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cecilia Prejeant Roddy; parents, Noah and Ellen Hebert Roddy Sr.; brothers, Jimmy and Morris Roddy; sister, Agnes Roddy; and granddaughter, Stacey Roddy.
He was the owner of Launderease for 52 years. He was a member and past president of the Acadiana Aistream Association, parishioner and usher at St. Bridget Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, La., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
