Nolan J. “Gemo” Adams Sr., 73, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010.


Mr. Adams worked for National American Sales of Thibodaux for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Adams; sons, Randy and Nolan Adams Jr.; daughters, Mary Blanco, Carolyn (Farrell) Trosclair, Audrey (Troy) Carter and Rose (Lloyd) Sposito; brother, Preston Adams; sisters, Joyce Westerman, Betty Hebert and Marie Legendre; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Anglique Maronge Adams; brother, Leroy Adams; and sisters, Lorraine Chamberlain and Yvonne Boudreaux.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

He will be buried at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery in Thibodaux.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
