Nolan Pierre Adams, 87, a native of Kaplan, La., and resident of Thibodaux and Schriever, La., died Friday, June 24, 2011.

Mr. Adams was retired from Freeport Sulphur Company and was a World War II veteran. He was also a parishioner of St. Bridget Church Parish.


He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Floyd) Picou, Sandra (Leslie) Brunet and Judith Caillouet; sister, Leona Vincent; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Birdie Adams; parents, Amadee and Rosa Adams; son, Gerald Adams; four brothers; and two sisters.

The family would like to especially thank the administration and staff of Audubon Health and Rehab Nursing Home and St. Catherine’s Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers or donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of their mother or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Landry’s)
