Norma Elizabeth Warrick Briley, 85, a native of Shreveport, La. and resident of Houma, La., died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at First United Methodist Church. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. Charles Briley and wife, Vera, of Austin, Texas, Christopher “Buster” Briley and wife, Nina, and Todd Briley and wife, Fay, all of Houma; three daughters, Carrel “Cissy” Bollich and husband, Bill, of Pasendena, Texas, Patty Buquet and husband, Phillip, of Lacombe and Cary Pierron and husband, Jamie, of Houma; one sister, Merle Redford of Abita Springs, La.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Briley; one daughter, Laurel Adkins; one sister, Betty Sawyer; and her parents, Ruby Pankhurst Warrick and Bishop Warrick.

She worked for attorneys, banks and retired with 21 years with the Louisiana Land and Exploration Co.

She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First United Methodist Church or Houma-Terrebonne Humane Society.
